Visit to the Brueseke's

Just wanted to post a few pictures we've taken while visiting Boden, Claire, and family. We've had 2-3 days of nice weather, and even gotten to go out with Claire.

Our Labor Day Painting Project

Well, we have had this paint for about 8 months and finally got around to painting the office. I absolutely LOVE the way it turned out. We used a "paint stick" which allows you to keep painting and it pumps paint into the roller as you go. It was wonderful and I can't imagine not using it every time we paint from now on. Though, I really DIDN'T use it because Mr. Gadget (Casey) was so excited to use a new "toy" that he ended up doing the whole room while I did the trim work. Oh well, we had fun and had the whole thing done start to finish in 3 hours. Hope you all like it!

Painting Update 1

Mom & I decided to go with Winter Wheat and Apple-A-Day for our paint colors. The winter wheat will go though the house and should work with the blue in the living room, the green in the dining, and the Apple-A-Day red in the kitchen. We started in the kitchen, so here's a few pics.

Update on the remodeling...

Here are some pics of the scrapbooking and craft area in the laundry room. Still a work in progress but I am so glad to finally make some more headway this weekend.

Okay, so I finally bought my first designer purse. I had a gift card to Von Maur from Christmas last year (from my bosses), and finally decided on a handbag I really liked, so I figured this would be my Valentine's Day gift to ME. Here is a pic of my new Coach handbag. :) It is perfect because it goes with everything, which is a prerequisite for me if I am buying something that costs more than my monthly car payment!!! Yay!!

Happy Valentine's Day to ME

Okay, maybe a little bit of bragging here but I think I have the right. :) We had a great Valentine's Day this year. First pic is of our table for our nice dinner at home, followed by Casey toa hsting the camera.

Next up is the beautiful flowers Casey surprised me with on Friday, along with the pearl jewelry he bought for me at Borsheims today. Everhyone loves the silver box with the burgundy bow!!!

Mom's foot update

We got a good report from the doctor today. He said mom was progressing well and is ready to start putting "some" weight on her foot. She no longer has the cast but does have a boot. She just got done washing her foot for the first time since December 15th. For now she will continue to use the scooter at work, but use crutches at home with some pressure on the foot, increasing as she feels comfortable. We go back in 3 weeks. Then she will likely start physical therapy to rebuild the strength and motion in the leg. We're making progress.

Laundry room project

Here are some pics from the laundry room project...the "new" color looks almost white but it really is a light blue. It is WAY better than the robin egg blue that I first had on the walls!!! You can see the contrast in the pic where the white door is visible. We are still working on painting all the shelves and then should be close to done after that. Will put up some more pics when its all complete.
